Setting the record straight…Rodents are NOT KNOWN to transmit Coronavirus.  According to rodentologist Robert Corrigan, “If we can transmit [COVID-19] on our fingertips, then, of course, rats can transmit it on their feet, their fur, their tails.” But the risk of transmission is thought to be low. Meanwhile, mice and rats are known vectors of other very nasty diseases — hantavirus, leptospirosis, lymphocytic choriomeningitis (LCMV), Tularemia, and Salmonella. Ugh! Plus, they use pee as a way to mark trails spreading germs everywhere. So, no. They should not be tolerated in your home.
