It's that time of year when rats scurry in fear, and brave souls rise to the challenge armed with traps and determination. Depending on where you buy your cheese, Ratcatcher's Day is recognized on either June 26 or July 22. This year Thrasher Termite & Pest Control of San Diego bridged those dates with a thrilling hunt as their team of pest control service experts vied for the crown of Ratcatcher Supreme 2023.
Licensed, certified, and armed with experience, technology, grit, and a healthy dose of humor, Thrasher Pest Control technicians are tallied up the score of each successful mouse or rat catch.
Seriously, these ratcatching warriors were well prepared for battle, each having passed the nationally recognizedQualityPro Public Health Rodentcertified technician exam. Thrasher Pest Control is the first and only pest control company in San Diego to offer QualityPro Public Health Rodent Certified services and GreenPro Certified services for rodent control. Additionally, each Thrasher Pest Control technician was armed with the latest in rodent control technology and has already logged countless mouse and rat catches this year alone.
It was a month of rodent mayhem to see who reigned Ratcatcher Supreme.

Drum Roll. With a whooping 27 catches, Christian Negroni earns the title of Ratcatcher Supreme 2023. Christian will be presented with a one-of-a-kind, custom-made Ratcatcher Supreme Aloha shirt.
History of Ratcatcher's Day:
Ratcatcher's day is a recognition of the fairytale of the Pied Piper of Hamlin. According to BBC.com, "Originating as medieval folklore, the story inspired a Goethe verse, Der Rattenfänger; a Grimm Brothers’ legend, The Children of Hamelin; and one of Robert Browning’s best-known poems, The Pied Piper of Hamelin. And although each writer tinkered with the story, the basics remained the same: the Piper was hired by Hamelin to rid the town of its plague of rats."
